GSBI Silicon Valley is Recruiting Advanced Social Ventures for 2013

Global Social Benefit Incubator Silicon Valley, a combination online/in-residence social enterprise accelerator is now taking applications for 2013 cohort. Applications open November 5, 2012 and the deadline is January 11, 2013. All participants will have curriculum tailored for their organization, be matched with 2-3 GSBI Mentors with skills to complement their objectives, and be matched with at least one interested funding partner.

If your organization needs a fundable business plan to rapidly scale impact, GSBI Silicon Valley can help you. To achieve large-scale global impact we are advancing the four core processes of GSBI: application, online exercises, in-residence, and implementation.

You can submit your application package starting November 5, 2012. Complete application packages are due by January 11, 2013. Applicants will be evaluated on the criteria below using a scoring matrix employed by impact investors. Semifinalists will be interviewed in March, 2013 and the final cohort will be announced in early April.

Participants will attend the in-residence program at Santa Clara University for 8 days, August 15-23, 2013. Social enterprises will consult with experts on various elements of their business plan including supply chain unit economics, governance, investment structures and uses of proceeds, partnership and contract structure and negotiation, sales force organization, and exit types. GSBI Silicon Valley culminates in a networking event with the Impact Investing Partners and other impact investors to facilitate funding opportunities.
