ICTforAg-Conference

ICTforAg: New Technologies for Smallholder Farmer Value Chains is a 1-day conference that will bring together +150 thought leaders and decision makers in agriculture and technology from the international development community and the private sector to examine how new technologies can empower smallholder farmers, and the entire value chains that support them, through the use of information and communication technologies

We’ll take a particular interest in precision technologies – from mobile apps, to sensors, to satellites – that can help agriculture ecosystems, but we’ll be sure to keep the discussion inclusive of all possible ICTs, including digital financial services, agribusiness IT systems, and extension agent support technologies.

Would you want to participate? Present? Or organize a session?

Please RSVP now to participate, and in doing so, let us know if you have a breakthrough you’d like to share in a 5-minute lightning talk, or if there is a topic you’d want to explore in a breakout session or learning lunch table.

Our aim is to create a day of intense exploration of the already possible and soon-to-be potential in ICTforAg, featuring an exciting mix of educational keynotes, lightning talks, and group breakouts, including interactive learning lunch tables and an evening reception to foster needed networking across sectors.

This is a great opportunity to share your ideas with key decision makers and move us from talk to action.

Do you have a solution or service to showcase?

During ICTforAg, we will have several opportunities to demonstrate ICTforAg innovations with 150 of the preeminent thought leaders and decision makers using technology (or who want to) in agriculture activities for development.

Vendors will be able to give product demonstrations directly in the conference break area all day and during dedicated demo breakout sessions. A lucky few who register quickly can even give a New Tool Lightning Talk during the evening reception.

We are open to partnerships too.

The TechLab at FHI 360 is committed to organizing this event, and we welcome partners to help make sure it’s a community-wide success. If you’d like to play a larger role, do let us know.

We are seeking two conference co-sponsors to support travel stipends for key participants and an evening reception sponsor to help us celebrate International Agriculture Week with the AIARD conference and MEAS symposium. Both of these sponsor opportunities would give you influence and branding that would be core to the event.
