Are you or your partners using the Internet to promote social causes in Asia? Could you use several thousand dollars to help move your cause forward? If so, the Information Society Innovation Fund (ISIF Asia) may be looking for you to be a part of the 2013 ISIF Asia Awards.

The awards are currently in their nomination phase and will recognize five innovative projects that used the Internet as a social development tool to promote access, openness, inclusion, and human rights. Winners will be awarded AUD 3,000 to support continuation of their project plus a travel grant to attend the awards ceremony at the 8th Internet Governance Forum in Bali, Indonesia in October 2013. Here they will have the opportunity to promote their work and raise their points of view in one of the most relevant forums where the future of the Internet is discussed.

Nominations are open through 15 May 2013, so submit your nominations today.

About the 2013 ISIF Asia Awards

The ISIF Asia Awards will be granted to projects that have already been implemented, or are in the final stages of implementation and that are in line with the eligibility criteria. The Awards are given in four categories:

  • Code for the common good
  • Rights

The Community Choice Award will be given to the project with the highest number of votes from a public social media campaign. For more information or to apply, visit the ISIF Asia Awards website.

Submitting Your Nomination

To submit a nomination, you must register in the website by creating a new account, or alternatively you can use your Facebook or Twitter accounts. If you applied last year the same username and password can be used. It is important to remember that nominations must be submitted in full, as the system does not provide the option to save your progress. You can also browse the award’s previous recipients.
