On February 29th, we will celebrate the Principles for Digital Development as a foundation for how technology should be utilized in international development programs to increase impact. This one-day event will showcase how we can move from principle to practice.

rsvp-now

Digital Development: From Principle to Practice will feature three exciting keynote presentations from these thought leaders:

We will also feature lightning talks from USAID, DFID, SPIDER, CRS and others on how the Principles are being implemented in donor organizations and implementing partners, and then convene learning lunch tables around each Principle to share insights on how to apply them to our work.

The afternoon breakout sessions will focus on overcoming tensions between Principles when we move from idea to reality, including:

  • Design with the User vs. Design for Scale
  • Open Data vs. Privacy and Security
  • Open Source vs. Build for Sustainability

Additional breakout sessions will explore how to apply the Principles in different contexts, including:

  • Humanitarian and Disaster Response
  • National Governments and Local Organizations
  • Digital Financial Services
  • Private Sector Partnerships

Please Participate

Please RSVP now to join over 150 of your peers in celebrating the Principles of Digital Development and the new USAID report From Principle to Practice, and learn how you can apply the Principles in your work.

Our aim is to create a day of intense exploration of current strategies and future possibilities for moving from principle to practice. This is a great opportunity to share your ideas with key decision makers and move us from talk to action.
