Get a Job! Field Coordinator for D-Tree in Malawi
D-Tree International is seeking a Field Coordinator for an Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) and People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) program in Malawi. This project will use software called CommCare to help strengthen and monitor service delivery for OVCs and PLWHA. CommCare will provide decision support to community volunteers to track the status of clients and referrals, as well as make accurate and comprehensive data available at and from the point of service and improve program supervision.
We are looking to hire a full time employee for a period of up to two years. The position will be based in our implementing partner’s office in Lilongwe, Malawi and will be working regularly in the field with the community volunteers. We seek a candidate who is motivated, interested in health care and technology, open to innovative ideas and technology, efficient, eager to learn, a talented project manager and team player.
The position will require working closely with the community volunteers, the partner organization and the D-tree team to implement the program. Responsibilities will include helping design the health protocols and software applications, training the community volunteers to use them, and building the capacity of our partner organization to support the program. We expect the candidate to be able to help plan for implementation, report on the progress of the program and contribute to problem solving in a proactive manner.
Job Responsibilities
‐ Coordination of OVC/PLWHA program activities including work planning, field testing, training of users, and basic management of field finances
‐ Regular data collection, monitoring, evaluation and reporting
‐ Basic IT Support for program applications
